In this article, we’re going to talk quickly about the Gibson X-pipe Cat-Back Exhaust on our Motoroso Mustang 5-liter build which is a supercharged Mustang putting out about 730 horsepower through that ROUSH Phase 2 Supercharger.

GIBSON X-PIPE EXHAUST
This Gibson exhaust has been on our Mustang GT since 2015 when we did the original build in partnership with Ford for the SEMA booth. This exhaust system sounds fantastic and performs exceptionally well, but for some reason, Gibson has decided to discontinue it. We think they might be going ahead to redesign the exhaust, but this exhaust really sounds fantastic and it turns out that it’s on clearance now.
This exhaust was originally $1,700 and we went ahead and bought up the last few of these because we know they’re super popular and people love them and now we can sell them for a low price of $1,200. It’s a stainless steel exhaust and the rear section of the pipe is ceramic coated to protect against the elements. It also looks fantastic in black ceramic, it’s a full three-inch stainless steel pipe all the way back and it exits through two 4.5-inch tips. Now that is an X-pipe that replaces the resonator so it sounds really aggressive and raspy but it’s not crazy loud because it does pass through those chambered mufflers which of course have no packing that can wear out, it’s really about tuning the sound and the sound is spectacular.
