A Throttle position sensor or TPS sensor is a sensor used by the cars ECU to monitor the throttle position on modern fuel injected cars. The sensor is usually located on the butterfly spindle or shaft so that it can directly monitor the position of the throttle for proper fuel delivery and ignition.
