The aFe SCORCHER GT is a plug-and-play piggyback tuner module that will grant your 2.3L Bronco an additional 33HP and 43lb/ft of torque in Race mode. The module works to increase turbo boost which improves vehicle performance, efficiency, and throttle response. This module also does not leave a trace on the ECU so it will not void your warranty. The installation is very simple and plugs in line with the T-MAP and MAP sensors.

The SCORCHER module features a controller that mounts in the cabin for quick and easy selection of the four power modes with corresponding LED lights that illuminate based on the selected mode. The aFe SCORCHER GT has four modes: Stock, Sport, Sport +, and Race.

Very noticable gains.

I am very satisfied with the gains i have gotten from this thing on my bronco. I have this along side a Banks pedal monster and it makes the 2.3l ecoboost feel the way it should on a bronco. My only complaint is that their installation guide does not include what to do when dealing with a manual transmission and wiring through the engine bay. The access port on the auto and 7mt are different. The 7mt doesn't really have one. I found an alternative solution by routing it through side of the engine bay which comes out through the rubber trim piece between the door and interior. Though i'm not completely satisfied with how it is set currently. Would have been great if I could place it up high but the LED lights are so bright and can't be cut off. So I had to route it low near the parking brake. Still great product and is worth the purchase.

Question:

Can this still be used as well as doing an ECU tune, gaining the additional horsepower and torque from both?

Answers:

Probably, but 1) we wouldn't advise it, and 2) we haven't heard of anyone cracking the ECU to tune yet, so not sure that's an option.
