The Edelbrock Victor Jr. LS3 cylinder heads are ideal for use in high performance street and competition engines that have reached their limit with a stock-style cylinder head design. Most aftermarket LS3 cylinder heads on the market today are simply stock head designs with larger ports. Our Victor Jr. LS3 cylinder heads are an all-new ground up design that incorporates subtle changes for improved flow and combustion. These changes were made to improve the limitations encountered in the stock cylinder heads when increasing the performance level of the engine. Changes include a 2.20" diameter intake valve with a canted configuration similar to what is utilized in the GM LT1 Gen V engine. The intake valve change along with the unique port shape produce almost 400cfm peak flow. These cylinder heads also feature fully CNC'(TM)d intake ports, combustion chambers and exhaust ports for consistency and improved performance. All of these changes make these cylinder heads capable of producing 600+ hp on an LS3 engine with stock rocker arms, intake manifold and exhaust manifolds. Our three Super Flow computerized engine dynos are capable of measuring 11 separate engine variables up to speeds of 12,000 rpm. For 2007, we added a new Super Flow SF902 engine dyno. It's fully automated and programmable to simulate various driving situations, and is equipped with WinDyn software for the very latest in testing equipment. For real-world tuning, there's our Super Flow model SF-840 eddy-current chassis dyno that can handle up to 1,000 hp at the wheels and speeds of 200 mph. When all testing is completed, the results evaluated, and the part has passed all performance criteria, then, and only then, is the product deemed ready for production. These precise testing procedures are applied to the entire Edelbrock line for performance that's guaranteed. Edelbrock test vehicles are driven by Edelbrock engineers and employees to get a "real world" feeling for the performance improvements.
