Virtually every exterior change on the 2015 Corvette Z06 serves a functional purpose. Wider flared fenders accommodate larger, wider wheels and tires for more grip than Stingray. Larger vents provide more air to the engine, brakes, transmission and differential for increased track capability.
The rear has been widened by 80 mm and the front by 56 mm, creating a more aggressive stance and enhanced handling.
Its exterior design also reflects the increased cooling Z06 needs to maximize performance. A unique mesh grille features dedicated brake-cooling intakes and wider grille outlets, as well as a larger hood vent, which not only vents hot air from the engine compartment, but also contributes to downforce.
