The Ford GT is an epic machine, drawing on the pedigree of the classic GT40, which was designed for one purpose, and one purpose only: to beat Ferrari at LeMans. Payback, if you will, for Enzo pulling out of a deal that would have put Ferrari under the Ford umbrella.
The 2005-2006 Ford GT's sported a 5.4L V8, cranking out 550 horsepower. 0-60 takes 3.4 seconds, and if anyone manages to get a glimpse of someone with their foot planted firmly on the go-pedal, they'd no doubt see an ear-to-ear grin, like a kid at Christmas scoring an official Red Ryder, carbine-action, two-hundred-shot, range model air rifle.
Careful, kid...you'll shoot your eye out!
