It was an epic battle for the GS-class podium, among Forgeline-equipped teams, at this weekend's IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Championship race at Virginia International Raceway. Jack Roush Jr. had qualified the #59 Kohr Motorsports Mustang GT4 on the pole, with the #57 Stevenson Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro GT4.R sharing the front row -- and both cars on Forgeline one piece forged monoblock GS1R wheels. With just 22 minutes remaining in the race, Robin Liddell had the Stevenson Camaro out front, but a punt from behind during a restart damaged the exhaust and nearly removed the rear bumper cover. Nevertheless, Robin persevered and enjoyed some incredible close racing with Dean Martin in the #59 Mustang GT4. When the checkered flag fell, Robin had held onto 2nd place in his #59 Stevenson Camaro, while Dean finished 3rd in the #57 Kohr Mustang! Congrats to the Stevenson and Kohr teams for another podium finish, and thank you for trusting Forgeline to carry the load!
